Problem

The current online presence for the Massey Center, as shown in the Existing Web Design (above), faces several significant challenges:

Outdated Aesthetics
  • The visual design utilizes a traditional, hierarchical university structure that feels archaic and uninspiring for a center focused on the future. The dense building photo with heavy text overlays makes the main information hard to digest.

Cluttered Navigation
  • The multiple levels of navigation, including competing top-level RMU menus and dense center-specific dropdowns, create cognitive load and make finding key resources a challenge. Users struggle to identify the main call to action.

Disconnected Brand Identity
  • The existing layout does not accurately reflect the innovative, agile nature of entrepreneurship. It lacks a unique brand narrative or premium feeling.

Buried CTAs
  • Critical actions, such as applying for fellowship programs, contacting the director, or finding certificate information, are often hidden deep within standard forms or multiple sub-menus. The main hero CTA is simply a small "APPLY NOW" button in the far top corner.

Solution

The redesign proposed in the Redesign Concept (above) offers a complete transformation, creating a sophisticated and streamlined user experience:

Premium, Minimalist Aesthetic
  • We implemented a sleek, professional, and sophisticated design style with clean typography and a cohesive palette of deep charcoal and terracotta highlights. Large hero imagery is cleaner, allowing the center's mission to breathe.

Simplified Information Architecture
  • The navigation was streamlined into a transparent header with a focused, logical hierarchy: About, Events, Rockwell Fellowship, E & I Certificate. All redundant and competing menus were removed.

Brand Integration
  • The concept integrates the brand message dynamically. Large, subtle "MASSEY CENTER" hero text overlays are paired with distinct narrative sections, statistics, and program cards to tell a compelling story of Dreaming, Innovating, and Ascending.

Prominent, Consistent CTAs
  • We designed a unique, consistently styled terracotta Call to Action button "CONTACT US" for the main header, replacing standard forms. Strategic "Learn More" and "Let's Talk" buttons are placed in feature sections throughout the site.

Concept

The redesigned Massey Center platform uses clean design principles and a consistent visual narrative:

Integrated Hero Section
  • The hero section features a stunning drone shot of the center building with bold, non-intrusive white text: "MASSEY CENTER" and the impactful tagline: "CATALYZING THE SPIRIT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP SINCE 2017." A clean, understated white arrow indicates scrolling, guiding users through the narrative.

Bold Narratives & Sectioning
  • Distinct sections like "Message from the Director," "Dream. Innovate. Ascend.," "Model Program of the Year Finalist," and statistic callouts (e.g., "250 Happy Students Taught") are clearly segmented with premium light backgrounds and elegant typography.

Feature Cards
  • The programs—Rockwell Fellowship and E & I Certificate—are presented in elegant feature cards with consistent framing and bold CTAs.

Unified Footer
  • A simplified footer structure includes clear "Sections" and "Socials" links, minimal branding, and a final "Let's Talk" button for contact, maintaining clean visual hierarchy to the end.
